2007 - Berlin, Germany

The Electronic Cloud is a happening - a nomadic urban lantern creating spectacle for the city of Berlin. The Cloud is a lightweight, temporary steel frame that holds an orbiting cluster of inhabitable screenpods. Each summer the Cloud perches atop one of the prefabricated concrete housing blocks - plattenbauten - common to East Berlin. Visitors to the Electronic Cloud collectively curate the facade using their own digital media or supplied podcams to project images which adorn their screenpod. The Cloud is in a constant state of becoming - an ever-changing stew made up of an unlimited collection of digital art and real-time views from the podcams within the Cloud or the surrounding city. The Cloud is an agglomeration of the creative expressions of those who inhabit it.
